Endure were approached by a hotel group that was loss making during the pandemic. They needed a £2m working capital facility to continue trading. We provided a 2-year bridging loan which was secured by a first legal charge against the hotels in the group. The group is now prospering, and our facility was repaid from profits generated.

Whilst hospitality can be a difficult sector, we took the view that there was adequate freehold security, and our facility could have been repaid by selling just one of the units should profitability not be re-established. Unfortunately, their high street bank was not as comfortable as we were with the transaction and declined the overdraft request.

Without our support this established business would have faced a very uncertain future.
